Everlasting Arms, Unshakable Refuge
“The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemies before you, saying, ‘Destroy them!’” —Deuteronomy 33:27
Moses’ blessing to Israel closes with this powerful declaration of God’s protection and strength. The eternal God—unchanging and all-powerful—is our dwelling place. He is not merely a distant deity, but a present protector who cradles His people in everlasting arms.
Life often brings uncertainty, conflict, and spiritual battles. But for the believer, God is both a refuge and a warrior. His arms don’t weaken with time, and His purposes never fail. He upholds us when we’re weak and secures us when we’re afraid.
The imagery of being carried in everlasting arms is deeply comforting. It tells us we’re not walking alone, nor are we relying on our own strength. We are being held by the God who never slumbers, who never falters.
Are you weary or anxious? Let your heart rest in this truth: the eternal God is your refuge today—and always.
