He Is Not Here—He Is Risen
“He isn’t here, but is risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee,”
— Luke 24:6
These words, spoken by the angels at the empty tomb, are the turning point of history. The women came expecting to find a body, but instead they were met with a message of victory: “He isn’t here… He is risen.” Death had not held Him. The grave had not won. Jesus Christ had risen just as He said.
Notice the reminder: “Remember what he told you.” Even in their confusion and grief, the truth had already been given. They simply needed to recall and believe it. In the same way, we often struggle not because God has been silent, but because we forget His promises.
The resurrection is not just an event to celebrate—it is a truth that transforms everything. It confirms that Jesus is who He claimed to be, that His sacrifice was accepted, and that sin and death have been defeated. Our hope is not in a memory, but in a living Savior.
Life Application:
When doubt or discouragement comes, return to what Christ has said. Fill your mind with His Word and stand on the truth of the resurrection. Let the reality that He is alive shape your hope, your confidence, and your daily walk.
Prayer Points:
Thank Jesus for His victory over sin and death.
Ask God to help you remember and trust His promises.
Pray for a living hope rooted in the risen Christ.
