He Lives to Intercede
"Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them." — Hebrews 7:25
This verse is a powerful declaration of the sufficiency and permanence of Christ’s salvation. Unlike earthly priests who were limited by mortality and sin, Jesus lives forever, and His priesthood is eternal. That means His saving work is not partial, temporary, or conditional—it is complete.
Jesus is not only the Savior who died for us; He is the risen Lord who lives to intercede for us. Right now, at this very moment, He is at the right hand of the Father, praying for you. He stands as your advocate, defending you against every accusation of the enemy and applying His righteousness to your account.
This truth should fill us with unshakable confidence. Our salvation doesn’t rest on our performance, but on Christ’s ongoing intercession. His work didn’t end at the cross—it continues in heaven. No sin is too great, no failure too deep, no distance too far for the reach of His saving power.
