Hold Fast to Your Faith
“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.” —Hebrews 4:14
This verse serves as a powerful encouragement and a call to perseverance. Jesus is not only our Savior but also our great high priest—one who represents us before the Father and mediates on our behalf. Unlike earthly priests, Jesus has passed through the heavens, entering into God’s very presence, having completed the work of atonement once for all.
Because of who Jesus is and what He has done, we are exhorted to “hold firmly” to our confession of faith. This is not a casual grip. It’s a determined, unwavering commitment to the truth of the gospel, even when trials come or doubt arises.
In seasons of struggle, when we’re tempted to loosen our grip, this verse reminds us that our high priest remains faithful. He understands our weaknesses and intercedes for us continuously. The same Jesus who conquered death now strengthens us to stand firm.
No matter what pressures you face today—stand on the unshakable foundation of Christ. Your great high priest is alive, present, and victorious.
