“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?” – Psalm 27:1
David declares his confidence in God, describing Him as light, salvation, and a stronghold. Light represents guidance, truth, and hope—God illuminates our path and removes the darkness of fear. Salvation reminds us that He is our deliverer, rescuing us from danger and sin. As our stronghold, He is our refuge, our place of safety in times of trouble.
Because of who God is, fear has no hold on us. No enemy, trial, or uncertainty can shake those who trust in Him. When we stand in the presence of the Almighty, we can walk boldly, knowing that we are secure in His protection.
This verse invites us to replace fear with faith, to trust that God’s light will guide us, His salvation will sustain us, and His strength will uphold us.
Life Application: Are you facing fear or uncertainty? Shift your focus from your worries to God’s power. Let His light drive out fear and trust Him as your stronghold.
